Phase 3
Phase Three- Story Exchange
The stories started travelling within the Highlands quite early on in the project. Each time a new workshop took place a forest library story was shared and evoked discussion.
Part of the joy of the project is being able to pass on to the authors where their stories have travelled to (see map for more details) I find the stories always have a different feel and response each time they find an audience.
In the spring of 2023 the stories started travelling to various Northern Forest communities through the Living in the Landscape Project run by the ASAD (Arctic Sustainable Arts and Design) Arctic University Network. The stories travelled inside hand painted wooden snow bunting boxes (see below) - the snow bunting being a symbol of good fortune and hope.
